Desire can lead a man to dangerous things,
Where one puts something on the line,
Something sacred and psycological,
Something so delicate, so fragile,
So close.
It makes you shrill inside, when you know you're doing it,
From that first shrill starts the gamble,
When the wheel is spinning and the dance begins,
But, when you're dancing with the devil, you don't stop, until the music,
Stops.
In life, desire dwells deeply, in the silent,
Subliminal thoughts of the world, jump and start,
In hectic shapes and figures, shoddy colours and prints,
For less than a pound, you can see the whole,
Stinking world that the media have created.
You get scared of being alone, in the world,
The whole stinking world stands still, while parts pose for the pictures,
That feed us throught our lives, the scare tac-tics,
Convince the world to fear itself, without question,
But they're lying to scare you, though you believe it.
That's why, when it doesn't work on you, you're instantly alone,
In this stinking world, but desire,
Drives you on, you desire to find what you want, and have it,
You're too scared to be alone, so you put it all on the line,
With only morals and desire to gamble with.
Shame or pride, win or lose, there's always a conclusion,
Shame awaits in the dark room downstairs to wallow in your pit alone, and sad, and tired, of,
Thoughts of being alone, in this stinking world,
Alone with your broken morals and weeping desires,
Alone in this stinking world with your lonely broken morals and ever weeping desires.
Or spending your days in golden daylight, with a smile,
And not a missing piece in sight, all together,
In one neat, tidy, convieniant little package,
That your solid morals and proud desire,
Has got you.
The gamble is dangerous, when the ball is spinning in the balance,
When karma is watching with a close eye, ready to sum up,
The goods and bads you have achieved, are weighed in perfect balance,
On perfect scales, with perfect hands, with perfect judgement, of your deep and burning,
Desire.
